How To Get Into Buddha's Sandbox?

How to get into Buddha's sandbox, especially when he is partying there? And God is backing everything up on a set of wild drums? And She surely is! Cause God is the root of all rock-n-roll!

Who wouldn't want to know that? If you ever read that classic book Siddhartha, by Hermann Hesse, it’s really such a wonderful book for any in their teens and 20s to read to help them integrate with more of their ultimate Self and intelligence. It may also be a great poke in the ribs and heart— inspiration to explore some kind of spirituality.

Yeah, who wouldn't want to—know that and hear that 'back up’? If you at all felt Buddha might have been one of the world's greatest teachers, and he might throw a little sand (and or angel dust on ya) that might sprout a gold wing! As we need to taste the Sky.

And this blog title to me is a rather perfect example of what I feel is one of the great values of art and good literature, which is to: Engage & give.

I guess it has engaged you to have gotten this far. Now, to hopefully really offer something you might be able to pawn in a jam, or help you get into that cosmic sandbox and know more of the ‘leela’— divine play. Existence is a sublime game. All of Existence, all of Existence is a pawn moved by God on a chessboard. And everyone will someday sooo WIN!

All of existence is in the wake of a pawn God moved on a chessboard. There is no movement without Her dance.

I like big thoughts like those above two sentences. I can find little satoris in them that can help me.

I have mentioned it before on my blog entries; it was a real milestone, so will mention it again— when I was invited by the BBC to write an article on Hafiz. They collaborated on it some, giving me some points to address; the title to the article was all theirs. One point was about art, in which I then coined that term: Engage & give.

You can read that article here. I don't feel a person could really study this article in some serious ways, and try and imbibe some of the wonderful things Hafiz says there, and then not maybe find a beautiful little green or red or yellow plastic bucket in your hand and a sweet shovel and start .... panning for stars on any night. Aka: in The Big Sandbox— help you with the leela, the dance! Help ya find that ‘pawn' in your pocket. Then what more could you ever, ever want or need!

If I get enough positive feedback on this blog entry, sure there will be a part two. Like there was with: Pancakes & Maple Syrup... capers, servings, one could see here on my website.

O Hafiz: Help us munchkins to boogie more. Help us see that the Moon, the Beloved— always wants to lean our cheek against Hers.

sweet when the moon

   leans my cheek

     against hers

We are in Alice’s Wonderland, angels. Have fun.

A big hug on Easter Sunday, but posting a bit after,
