Hey, isn't that the goal of every holy book to help us with! And the wonder of every great song, and every great piece of art, and the best of human relationships? And what the kiss of the beauty in nature can offer: help you applaud life, existence and mostly even yourself, and all creatures.
And who has spent any time in any classroom— or really anywhere— where the hope was not there to boogie more, in the hour or coming days… Or maybe just more relax, more smile.
And that: Joining A Cricket's Applause, could even get into the realm of the real hero's game— of being able to bow to any sadness & darkness (passing night) in your life, or even in the world.
I love haiku and have been deep into it for years, and the haiku book I have most endorsed— and given away many copies of— is:
Haiku Mind, by Patricia Donegan
She was remarkably credentialed and respected in the field of haiku & meditation. And you could read about her and that book in this link here.
I never met Patricia, but was very glad to write a review on Amazon for the book available globally.
And this next haiku could be the title to a good Zen book, as also I think is the title to this blog. But this one now, also has an interesting ecology connection, in that: not leaving any footprint in this world other than where an orchard might grow, or enough clear water gather— that the moon could go swimming in, and you too, while still on the planet.
I swim all the time in poems I have written; they can seem like sweet, tireless, and vital giving lovers. I am skinny dipping in the sky right now in this blog; that is feeling cheerful, and of use. I think we are best off when using the little talents we might have, and...

“Bend the branch less than a sparrow.”
I heard they have billboards on the Yellow Brick Road that say that! That have been known to make a munchkin levitate— well almost. And are we not each a tender branch that longs for a sun to alight— or at least kindness?
