The Conception
I do like posting these blog entries. Writing has been a great oasis and friend to me most everyday for over 30 years now, and most every morning, as like right now. It is 6:30 AM, and got a little coffee near the bones helping.
One's talents or hobbies, or loves: let them be all they can— an important and vital life raft. And maybe even such a life raft that from it, you can toss a lifeline for others. Be a golden rescue dog with some kind of pedigree in giving, or a good mutt like myself.
I don't know how the moon can resist— and keeps doing it, when she knows how much she could change this world. Think of all the guns that would drop; and any hand raised about to strike another; or any anger or malice about to spill out of a mouth and so pollute; think of all the insane political talk; and money madness. All of this, the above, could at least stop for some glorious hours if the moon just came closer one night, when she was full— and starting singing.
Yeah, Buddha or Jesus could just jump off some falling star and land on the most popular TV news channels in the world and tell us some great jokes. Or hey, maybe even quote some Rumi or Hafiz. And how wonderful (and how happy Penguin would be) if they did from one of my books.
But back to The Conception! How did all that moon stuff come up? And maybe Zoroaster jumping off a falling star! I think because… anything really, can happen. Thus, I don't think we have to worry so much.
I got talking to a Persian woman doctor the other day about about a major problem with Hafiz & Rumi in the English language. And we sort of zeroed in on something I felt was interesting, and was in my own—now and then— kind of barroom, cowboy, down-home language, being: a big problem with what many might see (know) of Rumi & Hafiz in the English language is: it is really just a shadow of what can be seen of Rumi & Hafiz in Persian or Arabic, etc. Aka: it can't really make love to you. You can't really conceive from it. And thus never really know the wonder of a holy infant inside, that can so change you, and your interactions with others, and your self.
And of course I was glad when this Persian woman said, "As much as I know, am very aware, of the great liberties you have taken with Hafiz at times, I know of no other Hafiz books in the English language that can so hold me as tenderly, and make me smile as deep.”
Some of the deepest and (personally) most significant words of Hafiz in the English language that I know about, are very connected to Meher Baba. But those three couplets are really so very esoteric, and really so applicable (and safe to try and live) to literally only a few hundred people on earth; I have never publicly promoted them. But I did base one of (I think) my most significant blog entries around them, which you could read if you read the below link (blog) titled: The Unfoldment Of The Rose.

Got to boogie. It has been a rather crazy couple last weeks and thus have not blogged for a while— though did start this one about a month ago. O how the Rose can sometimes unfold. Nevertheless, maybe even more so: Eshq, Esq!!! I really don't know Persian— Farsi— at all but think both those words mean loooooove.
